The Jedi Barbershop

Ilustração desenhada à mão e colorizada com a tablet. Foi feita em 2005 para o concurso Star Wars: Uma Nova Visão, pelo fórum 3D4All. A proposta era criar uma forma diferente de enxergar o universo de Star Wars, fosse retratando aspectos pouco explorados da coisa, fosse distorcendo seus conceitos. Muita gente foi pelo caminho da sátira. Eu também. Sempre fiquei me perguntando onde é que os jedis e seus aprendizes conseguiam esses cortes de cabelo esquisitíssimos... e imaginei que deveria haver uma barbearia especializada em algum lugar na República. :-)

The idea was to create a different way of seeing the Star Wars universe, showing either less explored angles of it or twisting its concepts. Many people went for a satiric view. I did. I've always wondered where did the jedis ans their aprentices get those weird haircuts... and thought there should be a specialized barbershop somewhere in the Republic. :-)
